Project Analyst

Job Summary

To provide support in the operations of the Contracting and Installation Teams, to deliver established long and short range departmental objectives, overlook the successful execution of projects by developing and tracking project budgets and progress.

This position acts as a key interface between project teams and internal groups, to manage, track, and meet project deadlines and deliver to the budget.

Key Responsibilities

·         With the assistance of the Project Managers, prepare and analyze project reporting documentation, including project status reports, updating project accounting records and project re-estimates, revenue forecasting.

·         Assists the Project Managers in preparing SOV’s (Schedule of Values) and SOB’s (Schedule of Billings) to ensure profitable completion of each project or task to effectively manage billings, cash and cost.

·         Prepare subcontractor and sub consultant agreements on behalf of the Project Manager.

·         Assist in review and formatting of internal and external documents pertaining to Contracting.

·         Maintains projects related team staff resource forecasting records including schedules and spreadsheets as required and an ongoing basis as required. Utilizes Corporate mandated scheduling tools to complete the resource planning with the Project Manager(s).

·         Identifies process improvement opportunities.  Develops and implements action plans to address process improvement opportunities.

·         Tracks MTD forecast versus Actuals by PM and project

·         Forecasts projects to completion on a monthly basis. 

·         Performs project gap analysis review with PM’s on a monthly basis

·         Reviews cash flow by PM and project

·         Analyzes YTD/MTD PM performance utilizing established baselines

·         Works with Operations Manager and Project Managers in establishing best practices and performance baselines  

·         Continuously monitors and identifies project issues by utilizing financial system and tools

·         Monitors and reports unabsorbed costs by PM team. 

·         Prepares monthly report detailing PM team performance in a P&L format

·         Participates and prepares documentation for Sales to Ops transition meeting.

·         Monitors subcontractor qualifications and documentation according to company standards

·         Processes new projects and closes work according to company policy.

Education and Experience

·         Bachelor’s degree in business or a college level designation in business and five years of work experience or an Associate’s degree with equivalent related project work and administrative experience.

·         Demonstrated team player with a high degree of analytical and organizational skill.

·         Ability to communicate with others and work under pressure.

·         Consistently deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction while increasing corporate profitability.

·         Previous experience administrating and analyzing BAS, HVAC Turnkey and Performance Contracting projects preferred.
